Here are some of the business topics I covered in the latest episode of my online business talk show, BizWrap: *It is official: Amazon purchased MGM Studios for $8.45B. Amazon now owns the rights to movies that will make their way to Amazon Prime (such as James Bond, the Pink Panther, Tom, and Jerry, etc.), the pipeline of movies and TV shows currently under production, and large-scale production capabilities. *Snapchat is improving its product offering in the Middle East by making “Spotlight” available in the region. Spotlight surfaces engaging content and competes with TikTok’s growing popularity. *Snapchat is also adding augmented reality features for e-commerce, as well as trying to attract influencers to the platform by adding the option for users to send gifts to their favorite influencer.
