Charity Shop Gold or Garbage 3 - Radio controlled car

This time I picked up a radio controlled car from the charity shop. It had no transmitter with it, so the initial thought would naturally be "garbage", but I had it in mind that I would be able to salvage the electric motors from it and that would justify the £2 cost. As it happens I noticed it was labelled 27mHz and I knew I had a 27mHz transmitter with another toy car at home, so thought it might even work with that. Initially the receiver didn't respond, but after taking the car apart and fiddling around I was able to get it working so I now have a working car my grandchildren can use or if they don't want it I can take it apart and use the electric motor and gearbox assembly in another project. Either way I win, so I have rated this as "Gold".
