Left Ventricular Compression By a Thoracic Aortic Aneurysm

An 83-year-old man presented with a symptomatic contained rupture of a thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm and type I endoleak of a previously repaired aneurysm. This transthoracic echocardiogram in parasternal long-axis view shows dynamic compression of the posterior left ventricle by the thoracic portion of the aneurysm during midsystole, causing pulsus bisferiens on arterial waveforms.
