MASALA VADA RECIPE | MIXED DAL VADA | MIXED DAL BHAJI | CRISPY DAL VADA A very crispy vada blended with all the flavors of ginger, green chilly & coriander and mixed dal. It is made during Shraddha in pit paksha or pity pandharwda Ingredients : 2 cup Moong Dal, 1 cup Urad Dal, 1 cup Chana Dal, 1/2 cup Masoor dal, 2 tbsp. Rice. 1 tsp. Cumin Seeds, 4 to 5 Green Chillies, 1 inch Ginger, Salt, 1/2 tsp. Turmeric Powder, Coriander. Rinse all above ingredients & soak overnight or at least for 5 to 6 hours. Then drain water completely. Add all above ingredients in grinder and add cumin seeds, green chillies, ginger, salt. Grind it coarse ( try to avoid adding water while grinding). Once batter is ready add turmeric powder, asafoetida & chopped coriander. Mix it well. Now adjust salt and spice by adding green chillies and salt if needed. If batter is liquid or thin ,then add gram flour / besan. Now heat oil in kadhai. Drop batter small portion in kadhai, deep fry them till golden brown from all the sides on medium to low flame. Mixed Dal vada is ready to serve . Serve with green chutney and rice kheer. You can make dosa, uttappa, app, idli from same batter by adjusting thickness of batter.
