Shaat View Point – The Sea Overlooking Site Blue sea can been seen from the cliff. The calmness and the color of the sea is notable. The two shades of blue and turquoise are visible. Along the walkway and huts, there’s a gate and few stairs take you another amazing place, which is not barricaded. Special precaution is required while walking down. Here is a walking area only you can walk on the knees or like frog. It’s interesting and difficult at the same time. The rock below is quite slippery. Caution !! I didn’t go to the other side, however, many people did. Mughsail Beach and Marneef Cave Blowholes This place is one of the most visited place in Dhofar region. The beach is amazing and the blowholes are just unforgettable. Coconut Fruit Huts Salalah Oman There are so many coconut fruit huts in Salalah, the largest numbers are near Haffa Beach. These coconut huts are located just besides the coconut and banana farms and the fruits sold here are freshly taken from the farms.Besides coconut and bananas, these fruit huts also sell other fruits like sugar cane, chicko, pine apple, papaya and others. People usually stop here to buy coconut drink and sip it directly from the fresh coconut via straw. Tawi Atair Sink Hole Salalah Tawi Atair is well known to local people since ancient times. During harsh winters people even lived inside the sinkhole, on the inner edge of this abyss where the temperature is more or less stable throughout the year. At the bottom of sinkhole there is a continuation – cave passage in north-eastern direction. This passage is located at the groundwater level and half-filled with water. The passage under the level of water has not been fully explored yet. Wadi Darbat Waterfall Wadi Darbat is the most beautiful and spectacular place in Salalah city and the perfect place for mountain and nature lovers. The place is fully packed with tourists especially in the autumn season. During autumn, the wadi’s water descending from the mountains forms magnificent waterfalls cascading from a height of up to 30 meters (100 feet). The wadi’s water plays as the source of the water of Teeq Cave’s cells. Baobab Trees Natural Water Pool Mirbat Anti-Gravity Point Salalah Mirbat Located on the route between Mirbat and Salalah, is a desolate stretch of road which defies gravity as a car put in Neutral gear will start moving uphill at a speed of up to 35 km/hr. This bizarre experience has a lot of scientific explanations for this; most common being that this is an anti-gravity hill. Regardless, this is a fun spot to visit for mystery-junkies and families alike.
