How The Grinch Stole Christmas gets a horror movie adaptation in THE MEAN ONE. It turns the Grinch from childhood character to a ruthless murderer who will do whatever it takes to cause chaos around the town. How is this definitely not-kid friendly Dr. Seuss movie allowed to exist? The Grinch horror movie comes right after news of Winnie The Pooh: Blood and Honey, along with Bambi: The Reckoning, which both turn classic characters into something we've never seen them as before. While Winnie The Pooh and Bambi are both in the public domain, How The Grinch Stole Christmas has a slightly different situation, allowing The Mean One to exist without Universal stepping in.
