Assassins Creed Valhalla Overdesign II Trophy Guide / Achievement Guide - While on fire during a fight, kill 3 hard difficulty soldiers without breaking their shields [Silver] A "hard difficulty" soldier is one that is several levels above you and has a red skull left of their health bar. This does not mean in-game difficulty. You can do this on easy difficulty (and you should do it on easy because those enemies are tough otherwise). Go to the southernmost viewpoint in Hamtunscire (level 340 region), in the town Werham. There are many "Standard Bearer" enemy types here. They are big enemies with spears and yellow names. Make sure they show the red skull next to their health bars. You should be under level 300. If you are already above level 300, simply reset your level in the skills menu. Also set your game on easy difficulty for Combat so they don't kill you as quickly. Before you do anything, make a manual save so that you can quickly retry if things go wrong. Two of the Standard Bearers are at the northern gate entrance of the Werham town. More are walking around at the town square. Whittle down their health so they will die within 1 hit of your bow (Light Bow recommended because it has more arrows and shoots quicker). Now put yourself on fire. Either throw a torch at the straw around town, or at one of the straw roofs, or wait for the Standard Bearers to throw fire bombs at you. Wait until the red "fire icon" in the bottom left corner of your screen has completely filled up. Then either shoot a Bearer with arrows while you stand in fire, or quickly run up to them and melee-kill them from behind before your fire runs out. Arrows are the easiest option though. I used the Light Bow and just shot them in the arms/legs while I burned. Repeat this until you killed 3 while on fire. You DON'T need to kill 3 in one go of being on fire. It's okay to kill one at a time, let the fire go out, put yourself on fire again and kill the next one. You just can't exit combat. If you exit combat it will reset the count and you must kill 3 again. But one at a time is totally sufficient for the trophy. There are also other shielded enemies here that wield morningstars. Personally, I did it by killing 3 Shield Bearers but if you killed one by accident you can try it on one of the Morningstar enemies as a replacement, or reload the manual save you made beforehand. set difficulty to easy and level scaling set a house roof on fire, sit on top of it and headshot shielded enemies, smaller ones count too if you don' t break their shield
1) aggro one other shield-bearer besides those 2 at the entrance 2) get their hp as low as possible so that you can 1-hit them with the dotv ability.
3) set yourself on fire by setting fire on one of the haystacks in the area. There are a few close enough to the entrance. Make sure you see a timer counting down. That means you' re actually on fire.
4) once you' re on fire, simply use the dive of the valkyries ability and you should 1-hit kill the shield-bearers assuming you bring down their hp low enough.
if they' re close enough to each other, you can get lucky and kill all 3 simultaneously and (hopefully) the trophy pops up. If you only killed one and didn' t get the other 2, simply go back to the burning haystack or any source of fire, set yourself on fire again and simply use the dotv ability again until all 3 are dead.
just make sure when you' re using the ability, you still see the fire timer counting down. Don' t use the ability if you don' t see the timer or else that kill won' t count towards the trophy.

because i' ve been trying to get this with harald' s soldiers in the starting town and just isn' t popping.
just get in combat with 3-5 enemies, u dont have to kill the big shield boys, the normal shield guys
1. Any enemy with shields counts. I wouldn' t do standard 2. Lure 3 enemies with shields (some will have swords, maces etc) you can try to knock their health low if you like but i managed fine without it when i turned the difficulty to easy.
3. Throw a torch on a roof and climb on top. The roof will relatively stay on fire for a long time.
4. Use the mark of death to kill all 3 in one go while staying on fire on the roof. Try weave around since sometimes enemies will throw rocks at you which will cancel the casting animation for the ability when you get hit

i overlooked this trophy and is lvl 373 and red skull hard enemies. Will changing the difficulty help?
i guess i can remove lvls but this will take so damn long.
1. Same as the video
2. Not hitting the shield
3. Standing on haystack, killing them using arrows while on fire
4. Kill them using last hit by throwing axe
nothing works! This is annoying!
it puts them at just about a quarter of health left, sometimes then i hopped on a roof, took a torch out and set fire to the building.
while on fire and on the roof i then used missile reversal to throw back the incoming spears and finish all 3 standard bearers
in about 10 seconds after all was set up.
didn' t even need to use my bow or my weapon.
took me a good few times to get the trophy to trigger but it works.
p. S if you' re to high of a gear score just reset your skill tree. Puts you to power level 1. Makes every enemy above 20 a power score a " hard enemy" as stated in therequirements
use the thorn of slumber arrow ability and you can put enemies to sleep (even in combat)and assassinate them to reduce their health. If you' re around power level 100 it' ll leave just enough so you should be able to ohko them with a headshot using a hunters bow.
the assassinations also give you adrenaline back so you can use focus of nornir to slow time and line up a headshot. Just make sure you dont shoot their shields at all, and that the fire debuff icon actually shows up and is full (it should automatically be full jumping into a wagon on fire instead of building up)
and it doesnt matter if you exit combat or not.
the area isnt hostile either, so you could probably get them down to low life, then hide on a rooftop or something and quicksave to make it easier incase you have to reload.
and if your way higher level, dont reset your entire skills. Reset a few branches at a time and keep all the adrenaline bars, that way they' ll still be full
i didn' t get the trophy at first but i did the following.
first i killed 3 enemies. Then fast traveled to then i killed one more and got the trophy.
maybe a bug or something
