@ImIvanCalderon7 months agoWhat do we think of 6.5 and Dolby Atmos? Is this something you will be using in your workflow? 5

@JochyEstrella6 months agoIts a great addition that we video/film aspiring content creators have been waiting for, so kudos to presonus !

@stumaxwell7 months agoPretty impressed that they have enabled all stock plugins for surround, I played with atomos in logic when they released it but it wasn’t possible to do simple stuff, like a limiter in your 2bus for example. Seems like presonus have done a much more thorough job on this. Worth the wait, definitely going to be having some fun with this. ...8

@harveym47 months agoI love the fact that i can utilize this new update to my video production as well especially, if I wanted to add texture or to create my own surround & sound FX 2

@jeromeweaver8097 months agoIt is a great addition. I played with the surround delay on a drum MIDI track and got some exciting sounds using feedback and the mix knob. 3

@houdinididiit7 months agoGiven the video improvements with version 6 recently, I think we all knew this was coming. However... I can't believe PreSonus made this a simple update and not a new purchase. It's an entirely new DAW. I'm flying over the moon. Atmos for me, was the one thing keeping me from bragging about Studio One to all my other friends who use Atmos. Between SO's, mastering suite and Atmos alone, I now believe it to be most complete and the best DAW out there. 💪 ...2

@philz72277 months agoGreat video, Ivan. Thanks. It looks like a cool fun way to mix. It's not clear to me how the atmos sound would sound in my truck with its front/back/right /left speakers. Ear buds would work, but for those of us who like bigger speakers pushing air, the jury is still deliberating. I like that Presonus provides the full kit for working with the sound. Well done. ...1

@jferzt6 months agoVery good information. I have noticed a problem since the last studio one update. When i load a waves plugin the track pans slightly to the left, and it is almost impossible to center it again, even removing the waves plugin, the problem persists. i have to delete the track and reload it again. ...so now i can't use the waves plugins .... does this happen to anyone else? ...

@michaelleriche55237 months agoWhy is it not showing up on my start page when I open up new ? I just did the upgrade to 6.5 this morning and I already have the paid for artist version.?

@jayrocknurse53867 months agoI suppose that this sounds great for this kind of music. I'm a 69 years young Rocker. I like the simple sound of Guitars, Bass, Drums, Keys and vocals.I think that we're losing the meaning of Rock and Roll. 3

@Chrisjenkinstvg7 months agoSo you don’t need Dolby atmos to mix in surround in 6.5? Once I upgrade from 5 I will automatically have this feature? 1

@haroldbones847 months agoI personally think that this Dolby Atmos thing for music won't work in the long run. It's a cool thing to have, like any other tool. But I don't think it's going to be revolutionary and it won't last. 1

@roberteismann19297 months agoYou are wrong though. In order to really hear and experience atmos you need the speaker setup. On headphones it will be binaural which is as far away from atmos as a chimp is from a human.

@garethde-witt64337 months agoIt’s crap Atmos is useless for music great for cinema stuff and that’s it. I don’t won’t to hear instruments moving around in space or the singer moving around it’s an awful experience and take away from what I’m listening to. ...1
