But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything. (54) In Surah Israa: وَلَقَدۡ صَرَّفۡنَا فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ لِيَذَّكَّرُواْ وَمَا يَزِيدُهُمۡ إِلَّا نُفُورًا (٤١) وَلَقَدۡ صَرَّفۡنَا لِلنَّاسِ فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلۡقُرۡءَانِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ فَأَبَىٰٓ أَكۡثَرُ ٱلنَّاسِ إِلَّا ڪُفُورًا (٨٩) Imam Ahmad recorded that Ali bin Abi Talib said that; the Messenger of Allah came to visit him and Fatima, the daughter of Allah's Messenger at night, and said, Are you not going to pray? I said, "O Messenger of Allah, our souls are in the Hand of Allah. If He wills to wake us, He will wake us.'' When I said that, he went away without returning. Then I heard him as he was walking away, slapping his thigh and saying, وَكَانَ الْإِنسَانُ أَكْثَرَ شَيْءٍ جَدَلًا But, man is ever more quarrelsome than anything.’’  وَمَا مَنَعَ ٱلنَّاسَ أَن يُؤۡمِنُوٓاْ إِذۡ جَآءَهُمُ ٱلۡهُدَىٰ وَيَسۡتَغۡفِرُواْ رَبَّهُمۡ إِلَّآ أَن تَأۡتِيَہُمۡ سُنَّةُ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ أَوۡ يَأۡتِيَہُمُ ٱلۡعَذَابُ قُبُلاً (٥٥) اور لوگوں کو بعد اس کے کہ ان کو ہدایت پہنچ چکی ایمان لا نے سے اور اپنے پروردگار سے (کفر وغیرہ کی) مغفرت مانگنے سے اور کوئی امر مانع نہیں رہا بجز اس کے کہ ان کو اس کا انتظار ہوا کہ اگلے لوگوں (وغیرہ کا معاملہ) انکو بھی پیش آئے یا یہ کہ عذاب الہیٰ رو در رو ان کے سامنے آ کھڑا ہو۔ (۵۵) And nothing prevents men from believing, (now) when the guidance (the Qur'ân) has come to them, and from asking forgiveness of their Lord, except that the ways of the ancients be repeated with them (i.e. their destruction decreed by Allâh), or the torment be brought to them face to face? (55)  This is to warn the people that the Quran has left no stone unturned in making the truth plain. It has employed all kinds of arguments, parables, similitude and used all the possible effective ways to appeal to the heart and the mind of man, and adopted the best possible style. If in spite of this, they do not accept the truth, it is obvious that they are waiting for God’s scourge like the one that visited the former communities to make them realize their error.  وَمَا نُرۡسِلُ ٱلۡمُرۡسَلِينَ إِلَّا مُبَشِّرِينَ وَمُنذِرِينَ‌ وَيُجَـٰدِلُ ٱلَّذِينَ ڪَفَرُواْ بِٱلۡبَـٰطِلِ لِيُدۡحِضُواْ بِهِ ٱلۡحَقَّ‌ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓاْ ءَايَـٰتِى وَمَآ أُنذِرُواْ هُزُوًا (٥٦) اور رسولوں کو تو ہم صرف بشارت دینے والے اور ڈرانے والے بنا کر بھیجا کرتے ہیں اور کافر لوگ ناحق کی باتیں پکڑ پکڑ کر جھگڑے نکالتے ہیں تاکہ اس کے ذریعہ سے حق بات کو بچلا دیں اور انہوں نے میری آیتوں کو اور جس (عذاب) سے ان کو ڈرایا گیا تھا اس کو دل لگی بنا رکھا ہے۔ (۵۶) And We send not the Messengers except as givers of glad tidings and warners. But those who disbelieve, dispute with false argument, in order to refute the truth thereby. And they treat My Ayât (proofs, pieces of evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and that with which they are warned, as jest and mockery! (56) This verse has two meanings. (1) We send Our Messengers to forewarn the people before the coming of the judgment of the good results of obedience and the evil consequences of disobedience. But these foolish people are not taking advantage of these forewarnings and insist on seeing the same evil end from which the Messengers desire to save them. (2) If they insist on meeting with the scourge, they should not demand this from the Messenger because the Messenger is sent not to bring a scourge but to warn the people beforehand to escape from it. #ilmohikmatnepal #ilmohikmat
