The 56-year-old Walker, who has bladder cancer, travelled from Philadelphia with her family to see the Giza pyramids after her son, Dustin Vitale, raised over $10,000 (€8,224) by selling cheesesteaks sandwiches. "We were able to make my mum's dream comes true and obviously we put in a lot of work into making this happen," he said. Walker and 14 members of her family received a personal welcome and gift from Khaled Anany, the Egyptian minister of antiquities and tourism. "We gave her a gift from the ministry's archaeological reproductions, and I told her that today she is in a very wonderful place and that she will certainly get positive energy from the antiques," Anany said Vitale also expressed his gratitude to the people of Egypt and empharaised his mother's joy at seeing her dream fulfilled. "I know my mum feels overwhelmed. I know that she's blown away by seeing the pyramids. I know she's so happy to be here," he said. #GloriaWalker #GizaPyramids #Cairo #Egypt Video ID: 20210509-084 Video on Demand: https://ruptly.tv/videos/20210509-084 Contact: cd@ruptly.tv Twitter: http://twitter.com/Ruptly Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Ruptly
