Ranjeet Kumar Manager Learning & Development & Co-Author #WinningItTogether is explaining the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator | The 16 Personality Types interview with Dr.Qamar | Hindi / Urdu. MBTI stands for Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, which is a personality assessment tool based on the theory of psychological types put forth by Carl Jung. The MBTI assesses individuals on four dichotomies, each with two opposite preferences: Extraversion (E) vs. Introversion (I) - Refers to where people direct their energy and focus their attention, either outward to people and things (Extraversion) or inward to their own thoughts and feelings (Introversion). Sensing (S) vs. Intuition (N) - Refers to how people gather information and make decisions, either by relying on their five senses and present facts (Sensing) or by looking at patterns, possibilities and insights (Intuition). Thinking (T) vs. Feeling (F) - Refers to how people make decisions, either based on logic and reason (Thinking) or based on values, empathy and emotions (Feeling). Judging (J) vs. Perceiving (P) - Refers to how people approach the outer world, either in a structured and organized manner (Judging) or in a flexible and spontaneous manner (Perceiving). The combination of these preferences results in 16 personality types, each represented by a four-letter code, such as INTJ, ENFP, etc. The MBTI is often used in various settings, including personal development, education, and career counseling. However, it should be noted that the MBTI is not a scientific measure of personality, and its validity and reliability have been debated by the scientific community.
