Watch live as a SpaceX Falcon Heavy launches the largest commercial communications satellite yet. Liftoff from pad 39A at the Kennedy Space Center is scheduled for 11:04 p.m. EDT (0303 UTC) Friday night. Twin Falcon Heavy side boosters will return to Florida and land at Cape Canaveral seven and a half minutes after launch. The rocket is carrying the 9-metric-ton Jupiter 3/EchoStar 24 satellite which will expand reach of the HughesNet satellite internet service to nearly 80 percent of the population across the Americas. It features 300 spot beams to target coverage and has 500 Gbps of capacity. Commentary will be provided by Spaceflight Now's Will Robinson-Smith.     @michaelthornsberry79298 months ago I' m always intrigued by watching these liftoffs: i' m 66 and i watched this and the past liftoffs' i saw the challenger explode(sad) and the launch of us going to the moon.
