Making your own lures is one of the most rewarding experiences in fishing, and making a topwater lure like this bluegill wakebait is basically as fun as it gets. Follow along with Part 2 of this bait build as I walk you step-by-step through making a custom wakebait for bass fishing. In this video we cover mold making and resin pouring, as well as some final details, weight and action of the lure as we prepare for Part 3, which covers painting and fishing! A wake bait is just one style of lure you can make, and you can adapt these techniques to all kinds of lures in future builds. A few great bait build channels in this video and highly recommend checking out @Marling Baits and @nolansbaits862 and @SolarBaits YouTube channels as well. These bait builders are awesome and you can learn an incredible amount about the craft, plus be super entertained in the process. Totally recommend subscribing to their channels! Starbond was awesome and provided me some of their adhesives to use on future builds and a discount code for your next purchase.
