Campo de' Fiori Street Market in Rome

One can hardly go to a European city and not visit the street markets that add so much charm, vibrancy and charisma to daily life. In Rome, the Campo de' Fiori (Field of Flowers) street market is easily found, located near the famous Piazza Navona. Here you can shop for just about anything you would expect at a local street market, from souvenirs to clothes, to fruits, vegetables, spices - and my favorite - Italian meats, cheeses and the delicacies that go along with them; truffle (summer and winter), aged balsamics, pesto and so much more! I fully expected to spend a few euro on the day I rolled into the market, but as you can see in the video, the vendors pop you full of free wine and shots before you even get started - both a savage and smart strategy on their part. And it worked on me. As it always did at them European bars I used to frequent. Some of which I still do. I thoroughly enjoyed a couple of hours browsing the vendor stands, and making a few purchases that I am still working through, even at this time. The vendors themselves were very friendly, of course, full of "special discounts," lol, and became the stars of the video. As did other tourists and locals who were mingling through the crowds. A very happy and calming experience, and as I put this video together, just makes you think how much life we are missing out on since Covid19 hit.
