@ahmedahm1last year New fda approved t: icosapent ethyl (pure epa omega 3) 4 grams/day to be taken with food. Brand name is not available in egypt (vascepa = icosapent id="hidden2" ethyl) read about the reduce-it study (published in nejm 2019) there was a problem in this study when they used a mineral oil as placebo which was not 100% inert or neutral. This might have exaggerated the efficacy. But still the fda approved this drug. ...Expand 2
