Many autistic women I have spoken to have agreed that we have often been perceived to be two-faced or even manipulative. For us, this can be totally baffling when our intention was never to offend anyone, let alone end friendships over a misunderstanding.
In today’s video I explore why I think that is, the concept of autistic masking, people pleasing, and how we can encourage greater communication between autistic and non-autistic people.
