@k-master9733 years ago What I’ve gained from this episode is that there is no final timeline. They’ve been working on this for god knows how long, and they’re still experiencing variants over and over again? There will always be chaos to the universe, and there is no “end goal” for the Time Keepers if they exist. If they do exist, I suspect they crack down on variants as to not lose any control they may have instead of just simply fixing the perfect timeline. ... 474

@ansumanajarju10313 years ago i have a theory that the big bad guy of the next phase of marvel is going to be kang the conqueror and he's the one actually controlling the TVA, the next phase is going to be about the heroes trying to free themselves from his idea of what the chosen timeline is and gain free will ... 128

@darkomen12903 years ago The music was really standout for me this episode. Specifically the score when Loki is first reading about Ragnarok and tearing up. @R__creator3 years ago There's this theory that lady loki is actually enchantress. Apparently the actress was credited as such in an alt language credits. Don't know the validity of that though 66
  • @
@RaiderNic993 years ago Your thought experiment was already explained in the show.
Mobious says to Loki that it has to be sudden, unavoidable disasters and the point in time where they're no longer inescapable or changeable. Like Pompeii for example. Had they gone to early, sure someone could have gotten away. However, they went a minute or two before the eruption, ensuring that nothing would change.
So yes while your thing is technically correct, it could still make a variant timeline, it doesn't because of the time it takes place. Loki visiting Asgard after Surtur rises to destroy it for example would be perfect. Events have now progressed far enough that they will not change. Hela cannot stop Sutur and Asgard will be destroyed no matter what.
That's the loophole. The specifically right time and place where events are no longer changable, no matter what (within reason) someone dows to change it.
Obviously if someone showed up to asgard with the Infinity Stones and poofed away Sutur stuff would change but that's not going to haporn.

@nighthiker3 years ago If you think this series' plot is interesting, you have to read "The End Of Eternity", by Isaac Asimov. It explores this "powerful occult institution trying to control time to ensure humanity's survival" setting pretty well. It was written in 1955, by the way. ... 177

@harmonlanager26703 years ago I feel like there’s a good chance that this show ends with Loki destroying the TVA and that’s how we get What If 26
  • @
@rockyweird3 years ago I'm so invested in this show. interested to see how this plays into the next Doctor Strange along with other new marvel shows that involve alternate timelines and the multiverse. A little fun fact about the time keepers in comics is that they maintain the timeline in a certain way to make sure they are created at the end of time. Like to see how that plays out in this show if it does get played out at all. ... 61

@derubor3 years ago The conversation Loki and Mobius had about the Timekeepers wanting to end chaos and bring order made me emidiately think of them as the villains. I have played Tales of Berseria and Artorius wants the exact same thing. He doesn't just protect the people, he wants to even dictate their thoughts and the Timekeepers seem to want the same thing, based on Mobius' description of their goals. ... 2

@reasonablechristianity3 years ago Well that point you brought up Jeremy does make sense, if they were actively trying to bring about a change and not just "HIDE", as Lady Loki is doing, the people in that store were isolated, no contact with the outside world and could do nothing except wait for the storm to end them. Same with Pompei no one believed Loki when he went and warned them and if they did it was 2 minutes before the Volcano erupted, meaning even if they started running they could not outrun the Volcano.
No change would take place whatsoever.

@MaiconBerteNight3 years ago The most important bit of the episode, imo, is when the supervisor aproves the mission and after the agent leaves the room she sighs and looks sad at her desk. She knows hes gonna fail. Also she says the Time Keepers are keeping a close eye on this one - if it is true they also know this gonna fail. ... 1

  • @
@danielb2703 years ago The banana theory is representative of misunderstanding the concept - every significant event has a "time shadow” within which nothing you do matters; if it is the death of a one-person from a heart attack - nothing you tell him in his last-minute will matter (but everything you tell to people around him - does). Same with Pompei: if they arrived 2 days earlier, they would have convinced someone to leave - thus creating a deviation in the timeline, but because they were right before the eruption - their actions had no lasting effect.
I propose to call it "temporal shadow", "reset shadow", or "consequence-less zone"

@Norway6043 years ago "The TVA is authoritarian"

@adamhaikalnazri33373 years ago i love how Jeremy gets super philosophical when giving his thoughts 😆 2
  • @
@NN0103 years ago NGL Jeremy, you blew my mind with that Three Houses comparison. The TVA is the Church of Seiros, controlling the status quo from behind the scenes to the will of their leaders, Lady Loki/Enchantress (or whoever she ends up being) is Edelgard, rebelling against the status quo and willing to go to any extreme to ensure people are free to rise up without external interference, and our Loki is probably going to end up being Byleth, caught in the middle of the conflict and forced to choose a side. With some shades of Claude, because this is Loki we’re talking about here and he’s a trickster. ...

@markshaffer64473 years ago I foresee a God Emperor of Dune rip off coming. I’m expecting that the Time Keepers are wielding their powers to guide existence along the MCU version of The Golden Path, manipulating the masses and all. I’m excited to see if that is the case, and it will be an interesting version of that tale. For those who don’t know Dune lore, the Golden Path is course of future events that must take place to ensure humanity’s survival, all others lead to varying means of extinction, and the God Emperor who can see this future guide humanity along this course regardless of what atrocities have to happen to ensure survival ... 8

  • @
    @JustAlyx3 years ago EARLY THEORY:
I think Agent Mobius is another variant of Loki. It would make sense how he's able to play mental gymnastics and keep OG Loki in check. Do you know how hard that is? He's literally one of the smartest, most cunning masterminds in all of Marvel. Also, it explains why he trusts him so much. Because, understandably so, literally NO one trusted him in the MCU. Even when he and Thor got along in Ragnorak, Thor always kept an eye on Loki. ...
