Recent Updates on Treatment of Heart Failure.

Treatment of heart failure was the biggest winner over the past two years. Two successful studies with SGLT2 inhibitors (DAPA-HF and EMPEROR-HF). Another successful study with SGLT1&2 inhibitors. Stimulation of sGC with Verciguat gave some moderate positive result. Omecamtiv a myosin activator was the first inotropic agent to be safe and beneficial. we learnt also that IV iron therapy is another helpful method. I am waiting eagerly for the new version of the guidelines to implement the concept of polypharmacy for heat failure treatment. For me it doesn't look a polypharmacy plan, it looks like we will be prescribing a large meal of medications. Attached is a detailed summary of the recent updates in heart failure management.
