How to Make the Perfect Poached Egg To make the best poached eggs, we will need eggs, water, and 1 tsp vinegar. Bring water to a boil in a small deep pot, and add vinegar. Turn down heat. Crack one egg and carefully drop into a fine strainer, which is above a small bowl to catch the watery part of the egg whites. Transfer egg to another small bowl. Stir water in a circular direction to get a vortex, then pour egg into the center of the vortex. Keep for 3 min, then remove with a slotted spoon. Dab it with a paper towel & from beneath also, then place on toast. Sprinkle with salt and black pepper if desired. Enjoy!
