So no, Scoundrel didn't make a "pact" with Nightmare, just that this octopus wanted to sympathize with Scoundrel, in order to be able to "manipulate" him and join him in his band, but as you know Scoundrel, he said "nope", especially by learning who Nightmare really is :''') And that's where "One Of Us" came in ; the meme "Bury Me Low" completes the previous animations, quite simply.
